PRELIMINARY SITE CONCEPTUAL MODEL
The Preliminary Site Conceptual Model is a progressive accumulation of information that serves as a communication tool for regulators and responsible parties. It provides a framework of information from project initiation to site closure. The California Code of Regulations requires submittal of a Preliminary Site Conceptual Model as part of workplan development for proposed activities at sites under Preliminary Site Assessment and soil and water phases of investigation. Preliminary Site Conceptual Models are an essential component in the evaluation and minimization of environmental risk at soil and groundwater contaminated sites and support site closures.
